The Donzi Corsican is one of the rarest and most distinctive models ever produced, and its interior reflects that uniqueness. Unlike many classic Donzi interiors, the Corsican's upholstery features complex sculpted geometry and individually sewn channels that cannot be accurately reproduced using conventional patterns alone. 

Our Corsican upholstery kit has been painstakingly reengineered from original factory construction to faithfully recreate the appearance, proportions, and craftsmanship of the original interior. Every panel, sewn channel, and contour has been developed to preserve the character of the factory design while utilizing modern marine upholstery materials and manufacturing techniques.

Designed for Authentic Restorations

After decades of being unavailable, the Corsican interior has been recreated specifically for owners restoring these iconic boats. Significant effort was invested in faithfully reproducing the original design, allowing restorations to retain the distinctive appearance that made the Corsican unlike any other Donzi. 

Snaps are shipped loose for final installation. 

Original Corsican interiors were hand-installed at the factory, and individual boats often vary slightly in snap placement. Installing the snaps during final fitment allows each upholstery kit to be properly aligned to your specific boat for the best possible fit and appearance. 

Lead Times: Current production lead time is approximately 8-10 weeks. Some orders may be completed sooner depending on production scheduling, although expedited completion cannot be guaranteed. 

Shipping:  Because each upholstery kit is built to order, freight costs are calculated upon completion rather than at checkout. This allows us to obtain the most competitive shipping rates based on your location and whether delivery is residential or commercial. 

Craftsmanship:

Each individual piece of Donzi upholstery is built by experienced marine upholsterers using premium materials selected for durability, fit, and long-term performance in the marine environment.

For the Corsican, craftsmanship begins long before the first stitch. Because no production patterns existed for this interior, the entire design reengineered from original factory construction. Every panel, sewn channel, contour, and transition was recreated to faithfully preserve the appearance and character of the original upholstery while benefiting from modern manufacturing precision. 

Each vinyl component is digitally cut on a Gerber CNC cutter from computerized patterns, ensuring exceptional repeatability and precise tolerances. The individually cut panels are then sewn together using UV-resistant thread to recreate the original tuck & roll construction.

Those sewn panels are bonded to P55 poly channeling foam, then assembled over high-density closed-cell marine foam- one of the industry's most durable and resilient seating materials. The result is upholstery that not only captures the appearance of the original factory interior but is built to withstand decades of use. 

All removable cushions are finished with breathable marine mesh backing and heavy-duty marine zippers for proper ventilation and serviceability, and long-term performance.
